Does everyone have trauma stored in their body?

Everything is energy. Thoughts are energy. Emotions are energies. When we have thoughts and feelings about a circumstance or an event from the past that hasn't been fully processed that energy can be stuck in the matter and space of the body. The result is typically pain or we start moving the body in a different manner to avoid feeling the pain and we typically collapse the body out of its optimal performance structure.

If you are a living breathing human being, you most definitely have trauma stored in your body - stored in the energy of you. No matter if it was grandma slapping your hand as you reached towards a cookie or you were involved in an event that almost took your life. There is simply a spectrum of what the impact is on you. So, in the cookie incident it may not have a significant impact on you; however, there will still be an impact if the energy remains suppressed within the system. In a lot of cultures, when a traumatic event happens we are told to suck it up or sweep it under the rug and get on with life. We bury it within our energetic being. This stagnant energy if left unresolved, will cause problems later on in life such as pain, inflammation or disease.

What is trauma?

Trauma is a suppression of the natural response to life and life’s events. It occurs when an event overwhelms the energetic circuitry of the body because you haven't been given the tools to process it. If you watch an animal after a traumatic or shock inducing event the animal will usually shake or twitch the body to release that energy. Due to our conditioning humans typically suppress and hold on to the trauma. The energy wants to move out and humans have lost their innate ability to let it flow through. It's almost as if the software of the human being isn't capable of letting it all flow through – the software or operating system requires an upgrade.

We have to always give ourselves time to stop and process the little traumas and the big traumas. In Native American or First Nation cultures elders would typically guide people every few years to honor the old, to process the old, so they could come into the next stage of life in a healthy, holistic and clear way of being. In our modern society, we no longer give ourselves permission to stop, process and upgrade our being. The implications for this way of life are: increased levels of depression, anxiety, suicide, and a general malaise that clouds our ability to see the clear path forward. It stops us from making decisions congruent with a clear heart. We've all been programmed to believe that we must just keep going and going and going. We're always on the go. We are always on the move. Luckily, there are more and more people recognizing the need to stop and clear out the old baggage from our current lives.

There is also a second component of trauma stored within the energy and programming of your being – Generational Trauma. Almost every single family on the planet has stagnant energy stored within their DNA that has been traumatized by the acts of war, abuse in all its various forms, miscarriages, events of deep emotional turmoil and generations of false programming. Energetic trauma is passed down from generation to generation unless it is transmuted. The latent/dormant trauma is typically unconscious and resides in the subconscious. This can cause us to act or not act based on the energy that has been unprocessed by our parents or grandparents, our great grandparents and so on, back through the ancestral lines. It's background noise that you don't even know is there until it rears its head as disease in the body. The source of the disease is typically from an imbalance in the biology, chemistry or physics of the body. Mental, emotional and spiritual imbalance can also create dis-ease. Once an energy has been passed down from generation to generation the looping of that unprocessed trauma program will come to an end – by creating a dis-eased state. The physical body that it shows up in can’t handle the high level of stagnation and it takes the body, mind and spirit into rest. The trauma takes you out of alignment and out of the game of fully living your life.

How do we shift the stored trauma?

Shamanic journeys are a key component for shifting the unprocessed energies of trauma that are part of the collective consciousness on the planet. It’s stored in each and every one of us. If you’re reading this, you most likely have stagnant energy from trauma in this life and generational trauma stored within your being. That energy wants to be liberated and cleared so that you can live a more vibrant life emanating vitality and awareness of your connection to all life on the planet. The space in between the matter of you can be cleansed and cleared with proper guidance and facilitation of shamanic journeys.
